Who Will Win the Battle?
Genderang perang antara Google dan Facebook tampaknya sudah mulai ditabuh. Beberapa waktu lalu, Facebook memblokir aplikasi yang memungkinkan pengguna mengekspor daftar teman ke Google+. Aplikasi ini dibuat untuk perambah Google Chrome.
Dari halaman Chrome Extension-nya, aplikasi ini dijelaskan sebagai berikut:
Get *your* data contact out of Facebook, whether they want you to or not. You gave them your friends and allowed them to store that data, and you have right to take it back out! Facebook doesn’t own my friends. Only available in English Facebook. Any other language will not work.
Pemblokiran ini diduga karena dianggap telah melanggar ketentuan di FB, yang berbunyi: “you will not collect users’ content or information, or otherwise access Facebook, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without our permission.”
Berita ini jadi Trending Topic di Twitter.com versi Indonesia dengan kata kunci “Facebook Blokir Friend Exporter“. Tweeps sebagian besar merespon twit dari akun @detikcom sekira satu jam yang lalu.
